Last call for changing address!

Dear Backers,
We are getting very close to shipping out all your rewards! If any of you have changed your address and not updated it in Backerkit, this is your last chance to do so. If, you have to update your address, please do message us directly as we have already locked all addresses in Backerkit and need to unlock them manually. So please do not hesitate to contact us if this is the case.
In our last update, we wrote that we expected that the products would arrive in our warehouse the 17th of July. Unfortunately, this date has been moved by our forwarder to the 4th of August, and we are very sorry about this further delay once again. Our forwarder told us that Covid-19 is still impacting global business, and is the indirect cause of this delay. Your rewards were on a train in China, where it was delayed about 14 days because the Chinese Governement has claimed most of the cargo wagons which are usually used for international train transport in order to transport hospital and protective equipment around China. This decrease of cargo wagons which can be used for International shipments has caused a congestion in the train station of Alashankou and thereby also delayed our goods.
Nevertheless, the rewards are on its way and we will begin to pack and ship the rewards as soon as it lands in our warehouse! We will update you very soon again once shipped.

Production of rewards is done!!!

Dear Backers,
We are happy to share with you that the production of all your rewards is complete!
The last couple of days we ran extensive quality control to ensure high quality products for you all and not least that the functionality is on point.
After having approved all the quality control reports today, the products finally left our production and is now on the way to our Danish warehouse:
As mentioned in last updated all products will be distributed from our Danish warehouse. We will ship the products from China to Denmark with rail which is expected to take about 4 weeks. Usually we ship by sea which is cheaper and takes about 6 weeks, but we have chosen to ship by rail in order to compensate a little for some of the delays we have encountered during the production ramp up.
We expect that the products will land in our warehouse July 17th, and in the following week we will pack and ship as fast as possible in order to fulfil all your rewards. When we ship out the products, the delivery time will vary from 2 days up till an estimate of 14 days based on your location. Which should mean that all our backers in the northern hemisphere should receive in due summer time and enjoy chilled drinks with ICEBREAKER POP ice cubes :D

Dear Backers,
We are sorry about not giving an update the last month, but now we are finally able to share some good news with you!
After 3 weeks of lab testing, we are now happy to announce that the ICEBREAKER® POP is approved for shipping. We have had many quality issues along the way, that we could not accept any short-cuts while testing, just to SHIP CRAP. After completing accelerated lifetime testing from minus 20 to +50-degree Celsius, mechanical durability testing with simulated 3-year usage every day, pull-force etc etc, we can conclude THAT WE DID NOT MISS ANYTHING!!
The entire team has been using the products at home now daily as well, and we are just so happy with the result, and happy to share it with you.
The production got the GO, and as you see, products are already coming out at the end of the line.
The Kickstarter shipment is planned for June 16 – WE BELIEVE 😊 They will be shipped from China to our Danish warehouse, where we will fulfill the orders. We have invested extra in shipping by booking rail transportation instead of sea as original planned in order to save time and being able to deliver to you faster.
We cannot tell you, often enough, how much your contribution to this Kickstarter funding has meant to us 🙏.
This campaign jump-started the success of ICEBREAKER® POP – and showed to our business customers, that this product was found to be very appealing and relevant to a lot of people, meaning, that we have secured the production for many months to partners who are going to provide ICEBREAKER® POP to the rest of the world. We are so proud and happy. That is the start of the dream coming through – to have ICEBREAKER® become the new way of making ice cubes worldwide.
With the production finally approved, we have as well initiated “Crowdfunding campaigns” in China and Taiwan – you may check this out on how they promote this new ice making device - pretty cool we would say 😊

Production is up and running!

Dear backers,
Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times. We hope you’re all well!
Today we have some good news for you. Our production is now up and running after some obstacles, which we mentioned in the last update.
We will soon be sent a new set of samples from our production partner for our final testing, and as we can see from our production partner own tests, everything looks to be really good now.
If the samples clear our quality tests here in Denmark, we will be ready to ramp-up production and produce all your rewards.

Update on production of ICEBREAKER POP

Dear backers,
As you are well aware, we are all in a difficult time. Both big companies and small companies like us are in a tough situation, and Covid-19 has caused major challenges for us, which we are doing our very best to cope with.
As we mentioned in our last update, our production in China has been shut down for a long time, and months have been lost, but now they are pretty much up to speed again.
Therefore, everything looked to be back on track. 2 weeks ago, we actually received new samples, which we have been testing continuously until this Friday, where we approved for production start.
A new test was implemented at the factory, to ensure that all future products maintain this quality and function. But, after a few days of production, the factory reported about a new issue with the bonding of rubber and plastics, and the production again stopped. A bunch of products actually has to be scrapped.
A Kickstarter update was prepared just before the new shot-down, but “luckily” due to the corona lock-down here in Denmark, we didn’t manage to send it out immediately.
Over-molding and the bonding of rubber and plastic, is a new process to our supplier. That is no excuse, and we are very unhappy about the lack of control.
But - It’s a production process issue, not relating to the design, and we will have all such issues resolved before final producing and shipping!
We do not want to put our name on a ICEBREAKER® product that isn’t as good as we know it can be.
It is difficult for us to give you a new estimated delivery date, since we need to overcome and test the quality issue first, on top of the issues related to the Covid-19 situation. Now we are all working from home due to the lock-down, and we do not have full test capacity and access.
We have no doubt that we can overcome these challenges. We have had several sampling rounds, including the very first products we received (those we have sent to the Super Early Shipment backers) with really good quality. The quality and function has even been upgraded since then, so we know that it can work.
Therefore, we ask you to be patient. Your support is very important to us, and we can assure you that we are doing our best to get your ICEBREAKER POP ready and shipped as soon as possible.
